About The Role

We are looking to recruit an Audio Visual Engineer to join our Education team working throughout Scotland. As an Installation Engineer, you will be the face of the company working within our clients’ sites and establishments.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Responsibility for the installation and ongoing service of a wide variety of Audio, Visual and Conferencing equipment throughout Scotland.

Ideally you will be experienced in a similar role within the AV industry, however applicants with a keen eye for detail and an interest in Audio Visual technologies who are from an electrical, mechanical, security or I.T. background would also be considered for this role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To carry out the installation of all types of Audio, Video and Conference installations from Projection Systems through to VC and Collaboration meeting rooms within the Education sector in Scotland.

The Audio Visual Engineer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

AV Installation

  • Installing Projectors, Screens, Large format Displays, Interactive Technologies and Audio Systems in line with manufacturers’ guidelines and company SOP’s to a high standard.
  • Installation of Containment and routing of cables in various environments. At all times ensuring works carried out are in line with current wiring and building regulations.
  • Ensuring all works carried out are in agreement with prescribed job specifications and also meet clients’ expectations.
  • Fault finding and trouble-shooting of existing installations.
  • Providing handover/basic training of all systems to clients.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Being responsible for the health and safety of yourself and others while working on-site.
  • Ensuring you have all the necessary equipment to carry out your day-to-day tasks, this includes maintaining van stocks and reporting/recording equipment used.
  • Direct end of day reporting to management.
About The Candidate

SKILLS PROFILE

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Technical understanding of AV and VC equipment
  • Experience working on client sites and coordinating AV installations with main contractors and other trades.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
